About Us

Emma Thomas is the Founder and Director of EJBC. She trained as an accountant at another locally based firm. After qualifying as a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) in 1997. Emma has demonstrated her dedication to provide her clients with technical excellence by subsequently becoming a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and qualifying as a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) in 2002. Emma heads client operations at EJBC.

Matthew is AAT qualified and has been working in practice for 5 years. His duties include preparing monthly management and year end accounts. Matthew has excellent working knowledge of Sage 50 and Quickbooks accounting software. He is a keen football fan and Chelsea supporter, but please don't hold that against him as in most other repects he is perfectly normal !

Yvonne Hoptroff is our Bookkeeper and Payroll administrator. Yvonne has a wealth of experience gained from previous employment in finance departments of major companies including Bayer UK.

Rachel Williams manages clients who have outsourced their bookkeeping, payroll and accounts function to us. Rachel previously worked for another well known local accountancy practice.

Sarah Maskell joined us this year as an accounts assistant. Sarah has previously worked for some of the best known local financial establishments. She is currently studying towards her Accounting Technicians (AAT) Qualification.

Helen Robins is our Accounting Manager, her duties include supporting Emma in the day-to-day management of our client portfolio. She is at the final examination stage of the Chartered Certified Accountant qualification (ACCA).

Keilor Quesada-Getgood is a Director of the firm. Keilor joined in 2004 to help manage the growth of the business. Keilor looks after EJBC operations, including Marketing, PR, IT, Sage software sales and office management. Keilor spent 14 years working for the biggest Brewing Company in the UK. He has qualified as a Financial Advisor (Cert PFS) and is currently studying towards the Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS).
